Policies

We understand that sometimes things come up that are out of your control. Please respect our time, by providing advance notice for cancellations, just as we strive to always respect yours.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice,  you’ll be charged the full cost.

COVID Protocols –Updated October 2022

If you’ve been exposed to or diagnosed with Covid or have a sore throat, congestion, cough, or other contagious symptoms, in the last 10 days, please do not come in. Instead, we can do video herbal sessions. Herbs are much more effective in treating viruses. We have providers and clients with small children & autoimmune diseases, so please be mindful.

Masks are not required, but you can wear one if you prefer
I will continue to mask, as I have immuno-compromised and vulnerable patients and family members.

Office is aired out between each client, and we continue to use Blue Air purifiers.

Payment

I accept all credit cards, FSA and HSA cards. Fees are due at the time of service.

Insurance

I don’t take insurance, but can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Paperless Office/Online Scheduling

For your convenience, all scheduling and forms are online only. If you are unable to navigate the scheduling system,  please call or text and I can walk you through and teach you how to use it.  You can also arrive early to use the office iPad.

Virtual Appointments

I offer Virtual Wellness Appointments for herbs, supplements or directed acupressure. I will provide an online prescription. You will pay the herbal pharmacy and herbs will be shipped to you.

Cancellation and Late Policy

Payment is due in full if you cancel with less than 24 hour notice.

If you are late, the time will be deducted from your visit, so the guests after you are not affected. If you are more than 15 minutes late for acu, or 5 minutes late for cupping, and haven’t communicated, it is considered a no show, and we won’t have the time to accommodate you .

What to Expect at a First Treatment

I set aside 30 minutes to discuss your symptoms, but we may not take that entire time if it’s not necessary. Treatment  is 60 minutes, and can include acupuncture, herbs, gua sha or cupping.  (A more detailed description is on my blog.) Please wear loose fitting clothing that allows  access to your knees and elbows. You can bring clothes to change into, or request a cover up. Have a snack and drink water. Don’t schedule a blood draw, medical procedures,  strenuous activity like a 10K, or long hike on the same day.

Please don’t wear spanx, but you can wear compression garments, casts or necessary medical devices.

Conditions Not Treated

My insurance doesn’t cover treating cancer, or people who are pregnant.
***Cold/flu/allergy symptoms are very similar to Covid. Due to the recent surge in cases, we
will not treat those symptoms without a recent negative Covid test. I am happy to do online herb visits, with curbside herb pickup or online prescription.
